Jesus was asked, “Which is the greatest commandment?†He answered, “Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.â€

Imagine, “all the law!†Webster defines this word as “all the rules of conduct established and enforced by the authority, legislation or custom of a given community.†Nations around the world have made laws by which, if people abide, citizens are protected from outside influence. Now look at this definition of the original Greek words for “all†and “law.â€
The Greek word for “all†is “hol-os†from which we get our English word “whole.†It simply means all, whole, complete. It can’t get any easier to understand than that. Elementary education teaches that “all means all.†This word “all,†I believe includes all nations, for what nation is there on this globe that has no law? Some laws are out- right crazy, yes, self-centered, biased, dangerous, discriminatory and incomprehensi- ble, but nonetheless, they are laws made to protect. Continue Reading »
