Bethel Fellowship International has received the following notice from Joe Downs:

The memorial service for Jim Mulkins is scheduled for Saturday, February 21, 3:00 PM at the Mt. Vernon First Lutheran Church located at 2015 E. Blackburn Rd. in Mt. Vernon, WA.

jimMULKINSJim was born Dec. 26, 1941, to Lloyd E. and Frances Louisa Mulkins. He lived his first six years at the family home just below Duvall, WA. At the age five, his mother, brother, and sister moved to Monroe. At the age of eleven, the family moved to Seattle’s Yesler Way Projects. Jim graduated from Garfield High School in 1960. He attended & graduated from Bethel Temple Bible School in 1963. He had degrees in Custodial Engineering and Broiler & High Pressure Maintenance. He was a custodian for Seattle Public Schools for 30 years.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother & father, two older brothers, Ellis & Richard, and by his sister, Margaret.

In 1964, Jim married Vera Hoag and they had two children, Catheleen and William. Then in 2010, he married Pat Cain. Jim had a good life. He enjoyed snowmobiling, square dancing, camping, and many other things. He belonged to the Mount Vernon Lions Club, Skagit Squares of Mount Vernon, and Emmanuel Baptist Church. He enjoyed being busy helping others. He was a very fun and loving husband. 

On January 29th, Jim passed away at home after a short bout with cancer. 

He is survived by his brother, Lloyd Mulkins, his sister, Katie Jackson, his children, Catheleen and William, his grandson, Tylor, and several nieces.

Services are being held at 3pm on Feb 21st at the First Lutheran Church in Mount Vernon.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lions Club or Cancer Center of Mount Vernon or a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank hospice of Mount Vernon for all of their help during this time.
